Meet the team.

Samita wolfe, executive director

On her way out of Woodbine, Georgia—headed for Japan on a Naval ship—Samita Wolfe passed a sign that read “Dead People’s Things For Sale.” It stuck with her like a mission statement. Years later, with a hundred tattoos and a lifetime of hustle, she took over Film Biz Recycling, bringing it to Savannah to rescue the world’s great theatrical castoffs and give them new life on screen.

Resourceful, frugal, and endlessly stylish, Samita turns waste into wonder—whether she’s outfitting a film set, running the Shovels & Rope tour, or demonstrating the power of a 100-year-old vacuum. With her husband Andrew Sovine, chihuahua Tank, and sidekick Daphne Colson, she’s built a creative community grounded in humor, heart, and second chances for beautiful things.
