Prop House/Boutique
Visit our prop house in Long Island City for fabulous finds for rent or sale. Every item in the prop house was hand picked by decorators from across the entertainment industry. Decorators have described the FBR prop house as a combination of all the Manhattan prop houses, but at half the price and half the dust.
We work with any budget for any amount of rental time. Smaller productions can receive a flat fee for an entire show. Simply put, we are here to make your life easier.

Shopping at the FBR prop house supports our mission. Remember, every donation from a production is tax deductable.
Green Storage Clean Out
Most major motion pictures store sets, props and set dressing after principal photography. After editing is complete (and any re-shoots) what happened in the past was 4 guys, 2 dumpsters and a day’s work of tossing it in and walking away.
Not okay. At all. Never do this.
We do a site visit, provide you with an estimate and start to plan the most socially and environmentally responsible way to disperse the materials by working with local charities to pick up, vendors who will accept the materials, and any other creative solutions. If a dumpster is necessary, we call our vetted partners or research a LEED certified waste company with a high recovery rate (meaning they pick through and recycle a high percentage.)
In addition the company gets:
*A tax deduction for all re-useable materials from all charities involved
*A report of items donated for reuse, recycled and landfill
*A letter of thanks and lessons learned from the job. There’s always room for improvement and suggestions for new policies to instill in future productions.

What we do for Film and Television, we do for Broadway! Once a show comes to an end there similar time constraints as film to vacate the theater and be gone.

Film Biz Recycling’s core competency is recycling. We have a growing network of re-use organizations. When you have a donation that you do not know what to do with, call us at 718-392-3304 and we will discuss the best place for it to go. Our goal is always one stop-dropping for a maximum environmental, social and financial benefit.
