FILM BIZ RECYCLING’s core mission of re-distributing materials we receive to local charities and organizations, does not produce a revenue stream. The work involved begets an overhead of personnel, space, transportation and time.

With individual, community, and industry support, sponsors made the following possible:

• diverted over 96 tons of materials from landfills in 2011
• saved productions innumerable avoided disposal costs
• re-distributed over 60% of materials to various local charities
• developed an 1,100 square foot creative reuse center formed entirely of unwanted entertainment industry materials created 9 green jobs
• fostered an upcycle entrepreneur incubator and art gallery made up of entirely of salvaged materials
