Film Biz Recycling accepts donations exclusively from entertainment industry productions based in New York. This includes; films, tv series, commercials, videos, theater, public performances, art shows, events and more. Focusing on one industry breeds more focused metrics, learnings, and invaluable knowledge used to create and advance sustainable industry practices.
FBR aims to keep everything out of the landfill so if there’s an object or material in question, please contact us – if we can’t accept it, we will do our best to find it it’s next best home. About 60% of the donations FBR acquires are immediately redistributed to one of our partner charities based on need and utility.
Thanks for contacting us. When I was an art department coordinator all I wanted was a one-stop drop for everything after wrap. That’s why I created Film Biz – it’s mission and design are meant for big drop offs. You can just bring it here and we will take care of it. Most of it goes right back to charity..here are our partners! http://www.filmbizrecycling.org/about/partners-and-charities
1) Discretion – no one discusses on-line or in the shop our sources. We protect and respect the marketing and legal desires of most all studio pictures and will not promote using the title or production company. Our employees sign a confidentiality agreement – we are serious about protecting your brand and product.
2) We destroy all photos out of the picture frames – it keep the talent from wondering how their photoshopped insert made it on eBay
3) Production friendly! We understand the roles and needs of UPM’s, accountants, asset managers, leadmen, dressers and teamsters.
4) We share the wealth and have for three years. Very large donations (more than one 24′ truck) can request a report about what went where.
5) Ooops! Made a mistake? The director wanted that stuffed flying squirrel in box Z235? We’ll get it back to you in a snap. We’re used to it.
